PCM Total Backup Strategy

PCM Total Backup Strategy

SOMEONE TOLD YOU, “YOU HAVE IT”, BUT DO YOU KNOW WHERE AND HOW TO GET IT?

For this, we have the PCM Total Backup Strategy: We know where your data is and how to get it.
If Backups were easy, no one would ever lose data.
Ask around, everyone has at some time lost data to: data overwrite, malware, accidents, and total failure.
Then, ask our clients when, if ever, they lost something that PCM was backing up.

What do we do different?

Design

Time to analyze the system, the users’ needs, and the best strategy to deploy a sustainable backup approach.

Planning

Deciding how to implement simple file recoveries, as well as critical system failures. Multiple levels of
backups may be set up.

Commitment

Monitoring the backups and making sure these systems work day in and day out and they are ready to be put into use when needed.

System and Data

Copies of your system and data stored away safely and securely
In the event of fire/flood/virus/disaster
One of your copies instantly gets put back in place with all data!

Data Only

Copies of only data; no system
In the event of fire/flood/virus/
disaster
You must first rebuild your
system before putting your data
back in

Extended times to recover will translate into extended cost and lack of productivity

3 BACKUP STRATEGIES

PCM Technologies offers 3 comprehensive backup strategies for your business. ALL BACKUPS ARE CONSTANTLY BEING MONITORED!

They last forever and then have data going back to the first backup.

Disaster Recovery and System Backups: (Indexed and searchable)

There can be a total failure due to hardware and other catastrophic occurrences.
Do not discard events such as total hardware failure (99% of the time) lighting, flooding and fires.
We make backups of your infrastructure but we also document its settings. We can either restore the servers or reconstruct them with this approach.

Quick local backups: (Indexed and searchable)

Local file backups are made to quickly restore data that may have been deleted or damaged.  Retention time is normally a week or two.  Local devices have a limited life and users normally forget to rotate them.  This lowers their retention time to a week.  Come Monday you lost your data.

Cloud Backups: (Indexed and searchable)

Cloud backups have the advantage of being detached from your building, so, what happens locally, will not affect them.  They however have a much better retention time than the local physical devices.

Cloud Approach

The cloud is like keeping your money in the bank.

You wouldn’t keep it in the couch.

Data, Files, and Information

Have everything in the cloud. Instantly pull files, data, and information anywhere at anytime. Keep all your information safe and securely in the cloud.

UNLIMITED NUMBER OF COMPUTERS

Backup as many computers as you like using one account. Over 60% of users have more than one computer and PCM allows you to back up and recover from all of your machines. Backup your home, office and laptop computers all on one account for easy access to ALL your files from anywhere.

UNLIMITED VERSIONS & POWERFUL RECOVERY

Keep an unlimited version history of all your files – roll back your books to last years tax records if you wish. Use your time machine feature to go back to the date you want to restore your backup as of and recover that snapshop of files and versions.
